Flatbed / Heavy Haul / Oversized

If it’s too wide, too high, or too ugly, call CAST

– Rick Eshe, President
CAST Transportation’s personnel are highly trained and experienced in heavy hauling. Combined with a large variety of specialized transportation equipment, CAST Transportation can handle the most demanding heavy haul transportation requirements – safely and securely.

Our jobs are extremely different and have diverse needs.
Here are a few highlights:

Over the last four years (2019 – present) CAST has worked diligently on the I-70 project, moving retaining/sound walls, 80’ rebar cages, and equipment, with an estimated, 20-30 equipment moves per day. This included a variety of earth-moving equipment, excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, and paving equipment. CAST has kept the project moving, without incident.
During March of 2021, CAST was hired to help remove old chillers from the top of the Granite Tower in downtown Denver. A helicopter placed the old chillers onto our awaiting trailers and then taken away. New chillers were brought in and helicoptered back up to the top of the building to their final location.

In the last year, CAST has transported pre-cast concrete from Denver to Garden City, KS with weights up to 68,000 lbs., 12’ wide by 50’ long.

In addition, for 18 months in 2016-2017, CAST worked on the elite project, Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, MT. Over 1600 loads of pre-stressed concrete were moved from Colorado Springs, CO to Big Sky, with 20-32 trucks 24 hours a day, seven days a week, without a service failure.

In 2005, CAST transported the largest surface contaminated load in North America from Rocky Flats, CO to Clive, UT, approximately 600 miles.

One of the largest moves CAST has done, was in December of 1998 when we moved two (2) locomotives from Craig, CO to Dinosaur, CO.
The locomotives were 198 tons each. The trailer had to be made onsite and in up to 20 degrees below zero weather. The loading of all specialized equipment was accomplished without the use of a crane. CAST succeeded in this project without any incident or frostbite.
